Santa Monica, CA, has a refurbished parking structure that supports its new Santa Monica Place shopping mall. They have commissioned "Parking Lot Art" for the outside.
Personally I think this type of art is great – Our garage designers are moving away from simply a utilitarian parking building to something that adds to the ambiance of the community.

I love it! it reminds me of the 3000 murtals in Philadelphia which I thoroughy enjoyed look at.
